One and a HALF

Last week the little prince celebrated his HALF birthday. Last year I attempted to start a tradition...
I thought it would be fun if on Avery's half Birthday we made a cake, and kept half for ourselves and gave half away. So while we were at the lake seeing Lou Lou and Papa we made a cake! It was very good and Avery had a blast eating his half with Papa and showing us that he is ONE and a half. The other half he we decided to give to my Tyler book club. These 5 ladies graciously allowed Avery to crash the party even though he never read the books for many, many of our monthly meetings until he was old enough to hang with Papa while I talked books with my friends.

Our little 18 month old is a busy bee. We love how he is so active. Avery would never stop moving if it were up to him, but he will occasionally climb in our lap for a moment or two and those are moments we treasure. His vocabulary is rapidly expanding, it seems like he learns a new word every day. It is also fun to guess at all the words we still don't understand. Avery remains all boy loving his bat, even though he pushes it around like a cane, cars, balls, and blocks. He is also a sensitive fellow, he loves big necklaces and all shoes. We love watching his little personality develop more and more every single day, except when it is that stubborn streak about throwing food in the floor.
